Why Do You Use apple cider vinegar in Soul Cream?
Apple cider vinegar is a wonderful preservative! It is also very good for the skin! Soul Cream is the one product we make that is heavier on the apple cider vinegar, but the smell dissipates within minutes after being applied. Where else can I buy your products?
In the summer months, we sell every Sunday at two farmers markets from 9 am - 1 pm. We also have various consignment locations around Denver and Summit County. Check out our Locations & Markets page for more info.
Is there a way to avoid Your shipping cost?
Yes. Send us an email or fill out our contact form stating that you would like to pick-up product from our warehouse. We will respond promptly to schedule a pick-up time that is convenient for you.
Will Sun Salve turn my skin white?
No! Sun Salve is made with a very dark beeswax. This helps deepen the color of the sun salve, which only requires a thin application on the skin. If too much is applied, Sun Salve can collect and appear white. This is due to the active ingredient, zinc oxide. We use a non-micronized zinc oxide so that it doesn't absorb into the blood stream. Zinc oxide is a fine, dust-like powder. If you do appear white, try using a little less product to cover the desired area.
Do you have a product to help with eczema?
We have had great feedback from people with eczema who have used Soul Butter, Soul Salve, and Soul Cream! Testimonials indicate that these products additionally help with conditions such as rashes, and dry, dehydrated skin.
Will Lip Salve protect my lips from the sun?
Yes. While it will not have the same degree of protection as our Sun Salve, it does provide some relief from the sun due to the coconut oil and aloe vera.
Will your product clog my pores (cause a breakout on the skin)?
We have had feedback that our Soul Cream actually helps clear up eczema and breakouts. So, in short, no. We use mostly fractionated coconut oil in all of our products. Fractionated coconut oil is much friendlier to the skin than other oils such as virgin coconut or olive oil. In addition to this, we make an in-house extract of homegrown aloe vera and apple cider vinegar - it does the skins wonders!
Where do you get your beeswax?
We gather our beeswax from various beekeepers located around Colorado. All beeswax is made by Colorado bees and local nectar and pollen.

Why do you Locally Source Your herbs?
Because the FDA (while there are active regulations in place) does not require their approval to sell herbs, extracts, oil infusions, essential oils, supplements, vitamins, or bath and body products in general. Some of which are imported from various countries outside the United States. Recents studies have found various products on the market to be inaccurate in their ingredients and potency. Because we grow our own herbs, we know exactly the kind of medicinal properties we will receive from our formulas.
Can any of your products be used as insect repellent?
While none of our products are designed with the intention to ward off insects, some of our products may still have the benefit of doing so. The main chemical found in cloves is Eugenol. Research shows that the chemical Eugenol is particularly unpleasant to many insects, and that clove essential oils and extracts may be used as a natural repellent. There is also research being done to support the use of Eugenol as a natural pesticide on agricultural crops.
What is The Difference Between Soul Butter And Soul Cream?
Soul Butter is a body butter and Soul Cream is a lotion. There are several differences between the two products in both preparation and ingredients. The most basic item to note is that lotions are typically made with a large amount of water and body butters are not. Our Soul Cream is prepared with water, in this case, homemade hydrosol. Water is whipped into the oil, resulting in a quickly absorbed, less oily product.
